Ecclesiastes 10:7
I HAVE SEEN SLAVES ON HORSEBACK WHILE PRINCES GO ON FOOT LIKE SLAVES
Let the princes ride!
As children of the Living God, God wants us to live like princes and princesses. A royal child is not born to walk, he or she is born to ride just as an eagle is born to soar and not act like a chicken pecking the dirt. Yet how often we walk around like slaves instead.
Why is that? It's because that is what we are. We are slaves to sin, our past, guilt, reputation, others expectations or our own, our bosses, our possessions, our ambitions, money, position, goals, debt, the fears of men, the fear of the past catching up with us, the present, the future, or death.
Take heart, whether men or women, we are called to ride with the Rider on the White Horse, "Faithful and True", who asks and empowers us to follow Him. He is called the Word of God and on His robe and on His thigh is written "King of kings and Lord of lords".
He has conquered all the doubts and fears, those slaves, and taken them captive, disarming them and displaying them as His trophies in the Heavenlies. He will also cause you to ride roughshod over your fears because He was dead but behold He is alive forever and ever. No doubt, fear or slave can "stand" before the resurrected Christ! He bids you ride on a white horse following His, dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
Take time out today, to "mount" your white horse, so that you too, can look down on those slaves, which have usurped your position and need to be reminded of their true position and fate. They are the slaves, not you!
Ride, my friend, ride! The King of kings and the Lord of lords is on His way!
