OBEDIENCE IS GREATER THAN SACRIFICE!
Your choices continue today! It doesn't make any difference whether you are on holiday, at work, on mission, in ministry or unemployed. How you spend today is in your hands!
You can stay in the rut, go through the motions or do the Will of God! Being "in ministry" is no excuse for avoiding being obedient to the Will of God. King Saul thought he knew God but he had made God in his image. God told him to completely annihilate the Amalekites, Saul decided instead to "put on a show". If you are mechanically going through the motions - thinking you must be doing the will of God STOP! Just like coming up to a train crossing - STOP LOOK AND LISTEN! STOP Put your agenda aside for a minute. LOOK at what you are doing and ask God to confirm or change your plans. Then LISTEN to what He says - Then DO IT. He rarely wants show. He usually wants service.
Father, please protect me from doing what I want to be Your will, and help me just be totally obedient to Your will. For Jesus' sake. AMEN
