Ephesians 3:20
NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN ALL WE ASK OR IMAGINE
How big is your imagination? How big is your dream? How big is your ask? God is heaps bigger than that! Dream big dreams or as the songwriter wrote "Dream The Impossible Dream!"
Why? Because God specialises in the impossible. God is the eternal optimist!
Sportsmen, mountaineers, scientists, astronauts, and filmmakers - none has yet out-dreamed God! No conqueror, or power hungry potentate has yet out-dreamed God either!
But I believe to a degree this verse ties up with Genesis 11:6 - the only time God was "worried". The Lord said "if as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them." That was referring to unregenerate man - people who rejected God - God said nothing would be impossible for them.
What about us? We who have put our faith, hope, trust in Jesus? We are the sons and daughters of God. We have the Holy Spirit in us and with Him all things are possible.
What about you? Have you got a dream? They had. They had a dream of a city with a tower - it came to nothing as God stepped in.
But what about you? Has God given you a dream? Did the Lord give you a dream at the beginning of the year and it now seems so far away, so impossible? Listen He can do immeasurably more than all you can ask or ever imagine.
If not then try dreaming a spiritual dream rather than a worldly carnal physical dream.
What about taking your family for Jesus, your street for Jesus, your city for Jesus or even your nation for Jesus?
Does it seem impossible? Then just maybe, it is the dream God wants for you.
Father please show me the impossible dream you want me to dream for Your Glory!
