This month I want us to look at why we are still on earth! We are not in Heaven yet - we are destined to go there - and many of us would like to go there quickly (be it to escape the present, be released from the pain experienced on earth or just out of an overwhelming desire to "be with Jesus"). So why can't we go there straight away once we have become a Christian? Maybe there is still something for me to do or become on earth. Let's together have a look at what we are here for... |

SIR, I HAVE NO ONE TO HELP ME...
That is the cry of so many people today! Sir, I have no one to help me.
I've only heard this preached on once and that was over 30 years ago! And yet it has always remained with me. This man was ready for healing; he desired healing; he had enough "faith" for healing and yet he needed help - but everyone was looking after themselves! Evidently even those who had been healed "before him" did not come back to help him, either!
What about your neighbour? What about your work mate? What about your relation? In the quietness of their rooms at 11 pm at night do they lie there crying to themselves, because they have no one to help them?
Oh yes, we can spiritualise it away - all they have to do is to cry out to God! Or we can rationalise it away - they are very difficult to get on with - I'm having enough trouble trying to hold my job down and run the family!
But the question still remains - 'Are they crying out, "I have no one to help me"'? Tell me, did you have help becoming a Christian? Were there people, or was there someone there for you, when you needed an introduction to the Saviour, and while you were taking your first faltering steps along the Christian pathway?
Well, maybe it is now time YOU became one of those people too. Why not stop now, just for a few minutes, and ask yourself the question "Who is the one I am supposed to help?"
Maybe there are more than one. Make a list, and make a diary of who and when you are going to help them and how. Pray for openings and what to do and say. Don't forget to add a space for the response!
Be prepared for God to work through YOU!
