I DID NOT SEE A TEMPLE, BECAUSE THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND THE LAMB ARE ITS TEMPLE
Solomon knew that 'David's Temple', that he would build, could never contain God!
How could something finite ever contain the Infinite? How could something on earth contain the Heavenly? How could a building, which could not even contain the whole of mankind, go anywhere near containing the Creator of all mankind, who was still about His work?
John expects a Temple. He had been brought up with one. He went there to meet with God, but here in Heaven, there is no Temple. Why not? Because the whole of Heaven is God's home! Heaven is all God's Temple or God's Temple is the whole of Heaven!
More than that - the Temple represented the Presence of God - If you ARE in the Presence of God you need no representation! The symbol gives way to the Reality; the shadow gives way to the brilliance of the Light, the Sun of Righteousness, the Son, the Lamb of God. The sun has been eclipsed by The Son!
Temples are finite, they have dimensions. God has neither dimensions nor denominations! He is Infinite.
Come to this Temple - Come to the Lamb - Come to the Lord God Almighty!
Don't hold back, for this is your right and privilege ever since the Lamb paid for your sin and your redemption. No matter how you feel today, God is beckoning you into His Presence - into His intimate Presence. You may feel He is a long way away, at the other end of a long tunnel - and maybe that is right - but be encouraged - HE IS THERE!
No matter how long the tunnel may appear at present, no matter how dark and foreboding it may seem - HE IS THERE!
There may be challenges ahead; there maybe experiences we would prefer to miss; we may have to go through tribulation; we will have to overcome -
BUT HE IS THERE! And we SHALL join Him in His Temple. Who is He?
THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND THE LAMB!
