WHOEVER CLAIMS TO LIVE IN HIM MUST WALK AS JESUS DID
This is where the rubber really meets the road!
I've been a Christian now for decades and I can tell you this, that over the decades I have heard hundreds of 'claims'! I've also heard many incredible claims! Christians seem to have a tendency to 'claim' things. 'We' even sank so low as to come up with a theology called "Name it, Claim it". It sounded great - particularly to the carnal mind and many went off down that track with some success to begin with and today the New Age professors seem to have absorbed it as their own - perhaps it always was! It is based upon - you are god.
Isn't it interesting that one of the biggest struggles we have as Christians, is with our God-given freedom and victory. The enemy seems to take delight and particular determination to try to confuse, frustrate and copy those two innately God given values and privileges. I have freedom to spend my money the way I choose - and yet so often I end up in bondage to it! I am given victory over embarrassing habits and sins and yet I end up so often in failure and despair.
Why? I think some of it, is because we've gone away from this verse!
Oh yes, I'm O.K. with the first bit - I claim to live in Him, but I stop there - go my own way and end up in frustration and defeat. Let's rather "take on board" the whole! The key to the Christian Life is NOT "claiming to live in Him " but WALKING AS JESUS DID!
You can 'claim' the world - but if it is unreal, or untrue it is just plain hypocrisy! Oh yes I agree with faith. I am currently 'claiming' - Auckland, New Zealand for Jesus - but how will it happen?
When I walk as Jesus did!
When we, as Christians, walk as Jesus did!
Live by faith but walk as Jesus did - in simplicity - in reality - in intimate relationship with Father and in practical relationship with man.
The world wants to see truth not sham! It's crying out to SEE JESUS!
