YOU ARE SONS OF GOD THROUGH FAITH
There is no other way! Through faith.
It is not within us, so that we need to discover the real god inside us. Many people today are spending all their wealth trying to find themselves. They are conned out of thousands of dollars, by thinking that it is a journey and only by controlling the mind and searching out its powers can they be able to find their real selves and ultimate potential.
It is based in Hellenistic/Gnosticism theology, which suggests that the spirit is pure, and the body "vile and corrupt." Only the mind can discern the things of the spirit and thus you have to "get out of yourself" to find the ultimate you. There is an old English word for that - it is "poppycock"!
God, the Creator of the Universe; the Creator of the human mind and body, the Creator of you and me, proved that the body is sanctified when He sent His Incarnate Son. Jesus was a man! The problem with their theology is that, it is we centred, and so eventually I create god in my image. Fortunately it never satisfies, because I need to find God who created me in His image and I can only do that through faith.
I have to begin by believing that the Creator God exists. That He made me. Not only made me but also gave me a destiny to be one of the sons of God through faith in the human life, sacrificial death and bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ the One and Only son of God - the Word made flesh - who is one day returning to judge the living and the dead.
Furthermore because it is by faith, there is nothing I can do to start my salvation pilgrimage, except by accepting what God has said in His Word. That takes faith.
I have to abandon my demands to see all the answers first. I have to acknowledge my need of the Greater (Greatest) Power - God - in my life and humbly come before Him and say, "I don't understand how but by faith I will trust WHO."
I come by faith and in doing so become a son of God. That is grace!
