NOAH WALKED WITH GOD...
Hang on a minute, Enoch walked with God!
Yes, that was in chapter 5:24, but now we are in chapter 6:9! Noah walked with God! Incredible how the Sovereign God works isn't it? Enoch walks with God and immediately disappears to be with Him forever. Noah walks with God and has to stay on earth another 450 years, before he dies. Included in which, is a period of 100 years whilst he built the Ark! A further 1 year and 2 months he had to look after a floating Zoo!
When Jesus was talking to Peter after His resurrection, He told Peter to follow Him. At the end, Peter asked "And what about John?" Jesus replied "What is that to you? - You must follow Me!"
We must never compare ourselves with others. Their walk with the Lord is their affair - their ministry is theirs - their anointing is theirs and God's plan for them is also uniquely theirs. We are not all called to be like Dr Billy Graham, and be world-renowned evangelists, or Dr Jonggi Cho, leaders of the world's largest church, but we are all called to be Followers of Jesus and to Walk with God the path He has chosen for us.
Do you desire great exploits? Then 'walk' with God! It is not for you to choose your way, your calling, your ministry or your anointing. All that is required of you is to "walk in it". To walk with God the unique pathway He has prepared for you. To choose His very best, not second best because you think it is easier or more significant.
God looks for obedience, character, humility and a heart after Him. We so often want success, achievement, recognition, the spectacular, power and influence - not realising that all those will be ours if we just "walk with God," in the pathway He has chosen for us.
Do you seek intimacy with God? Would you love to be approved of God? Do you long to see the anointing of God in your life? Then stop striving for it! - And instead - Walk with God!
Miracles always follow obedience, and if you "walk with God", all the purposes of God for your life will be fulfilled. What more could you possibly desire or want?
Seek God's face - learn His will and pathway for your life and then - Go Walk With God!
What greater testimonial can anyone ever have than that "He walked with God"?
