ARE YOU THE ONLY ONE ... WHO DOESN'T KNOW
What an incredibly stupid question to ask Jesus!
The very One to whom it all happened! The One around whom it all revolved and the One who was the very centre and focus. Are you the only one who doesn't know?
Actually I find it even more amusing because they said, "are you the only one LIVING in Jerusalem who doesn't know?" Yes, He was living all right. Dead once, but now definitely living and they, in their question, actually give us the "evidence".
Hindsight can make us very arrogant at times can't it? I wonder how many of us look back on these two and think - why were they so slow to recognise Jesus when He was right there with them? We do that, of course, because we have read to the end of the chapter!
But how many of us would have to put up our hands if asked the question - Have you done the same?
We are going through a hard time, we've prayed and prayed and prayed and yet we still haven't been given the answer, the breakthrough or even the peace we were looking for. We lose sight of the fact that Jesus is there - right there beside us - and He KNOWS! He knows the situation, He knows how we feel, He knows how He is going to sort it out, and He is right there with us!
I don't know your situation. I don't know what you are going through today, but let me encourage you. Jesus does know and Jesus is right there with you.
He's not the only one who doesn't know. He is fully conversant with the whole issue. He has a plan and He has a future for you. How do I know?
I know because He is alive, believe me! The fact that He is alive means that He has conquered death and will always come up with victory for us in the end.
Reach out to Him now by faith and feel Him right there beside you.
