This month I want us to look at why we are still on earth! We are not in Heaven yet - we are destined to go there - and many of us would like to go there quickly (be it to escape the present, be released from the pain experienced on earth or just out of an overwhelming desire to "be with Jesus"). So why can't we go there straight away once we have become a Christian? Maybe there is still something for me to do or become on earth. Let's together have a look at what we are here for... |

I HAVE MADE HIM A WITNESS TO THE PEOPLES
We can't escape it can we?
Wherever we turn in Scripture it comes back to "haunt us". God expects us to be a witness to the peoples. Why is that? Why can't we just be left alone to carry on living just as we want, doing the things we want to do, enjoying ourselves and fulfilling our natural desires?
Well, the simple answer is - "you can if you want to"!
But you become a corrupt witness to Jesus and His Father. You won't stop being a witness. The question is what sort of witness are you, because everyone is watching you to see how you live and react to circumstances?
We have been "made" witnesses of Christ and God because the heart of God is continuously reaching out to the people He has created and at present you and I are the only "representative" witnesses He has got - so for God to witness to the peoples - He has to use us!
God rarely moves on earth in human form. He did "tabernacle" among us in Christ Jesus but since His ascension, God has given us His Holy Spirit to do the "work" in and through us.
Why has such a "high calling" been devalued in the world today?
It is the work of the enemy himself. Why? Because if you and I are poor witnesses then his "flock" are not under threat. His kingdom remains secure. BUT as soon as you and I "live in our anointing and live out our calling" satan trembles because he knows he will lose his captives and his kingdom will not only be threatened but demolished.
Be the witness to the peoples God has made you today and let's together smash some irreparable holes in the kingdom of darkness!
