(HE) HAS MADE US TO BE A KINGDOM OF PRIESTS TO SERVE HIS GOD AND FATHER
We first had a glimpse of this back in the Old Testament in Exodus remember?
God is a consistent God, isn't He? Why did Jesus love us and free us from our sins? So that He could make us to be a Kingdom and Priests to serve His God and Father - to Him be glory and power forever and ever Amen!
You cannot do that from a distance, either. This is where we take up permanent residence with Jesus Christ and God the Father forever! Yes, He wanted us to be with Him forever.
That service is the same quality of service that Jesus speaks of when He says, "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you My friends, for everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you" It is intimate service as a friend serves out of respect, love and devotion to the one he loves.
Heaven - our destiny- is going to be a whole new experience. It will not be a place of boredom and inactivity, rather we shall see what the Creator, Our Heavenly Father desired from the beginning. We will experience a mind-stretching lifestyle where we shall be able to discover and reach our full potential - that perfect potential which has already been 'programmed' into our lives by our Creator - who saw us whilst we were being knit together in our mother's womb. Our destiny was settled then, not just for this transient world, but also for Eternity. We are destined to enjoy Eternity in the Presence of God and to be kings and priests before Him.
To serve Him in vitality and love and peace. Serving none other than the King of kings and Lord of lords, without the hindrances of sin, faithlessness, distraction, doubt, fear, inadequacy or intimidation.
Released to reach our full potential.
