PERSEVERANCE MUST FINISH ITS WORK... SO YOU LACK NOTHING
There is always a reason for it. God never tests us for "the sheer fun of it"!
We must never forget to remind ourselves of two things. Firstly, how much Father loves Jesus, the Son, and secondly, that God wants us all to be "conformed to the image of His Son" - to be like Jesus.
God loves Jesus, so much, that He determined to have many more like Him. Jesus was totally obedient to Father through each and every situation and experience. Even those times when Jesus didn't understand, which made, even Him, cry out "My God, My God why have you forsaken me?" - Jesus came through with flying colours and has made a way for us to do so, too. He has sent His Holy Spirit to be with us and help us through every trial and difficulty, so that we are shaped into being more and more like Jesus.
God wants us to get to that point where we lack nothing! Isn't that good news? Not to where we give up completely and 'cop out', but rather, where we come to complete maturity, so that, no matter what our evil desires say, no matter what the enemy may try and throw at us, we come out on top.
Through perseverance, God wants us to get to that point where satan is afraid of us! So often, it seems, we stay the other way around. God wants us with back bone, so that, we can look adversity and the adversary, 'straight in the eye', and say honestly - do your worst - I will still overcome "through Christ, who strengthens me."
God is a good God. He will withhold nothing from us, which will help us reach the point where we lack nothing! Good and/or challenging!
