SEE TO IT ... THAT NONE OF YOU ... TURNS AWAY FROM THE LIVING GOD
You see it is up to you! You do have a choice!
Today we don't face four legged hairy long toothed, hungry lions like the early Christians and that has made us soft and complacent. The "lions" of today are...- independence, apathy, selfishness, arrogance, religiosity, money, food, materialism, exclusivism, legalism, existentialism and pride.
All equally devastating - the only trouble is, if we were up against the toothed variety, we would probably think twice before "throwing away" our faith. With these "lions", like satan their father, they are toothless and we get sucked into their mouths and become devoured by them.
See to it you don't! Yes, the choice is yours. You can live the type of Christianity that says "I'm okay I'm saved. What I do now is up to me. I've worked out this Christianity thing." But you end up fooling yourself, becoming disillusioned and on the outskirts of hell itself.
Don't go for the "soft option". Be totally, constantly "Sold Out For God"! Your life won't necessarily be easy but it will be adventurous and eventually victorious.
When Jesus saw some of His followers leaving He turned to His disciples and asked, "will you also go away?" "To whom shall we go - was the reply - for You alone have the words of eternal life"?
My friend, please don't "play" with Jesus.
Make Him "Lord OF all" or He is not "Lord AT all".
After reading this - don't you dare turn away from the Living God - it has been written to see to it that you don't!
