WITH YOUR BLOOD YOU PURCHASED FOR GOD...
You belong to God twice!
Did you know that? Not once, twice. I shall never forget that story.
A boy longed for a model sailing yacht. So he got a piece of wood and started carving. The chisel slipped from time to time, but by the time he had finished, the scars in his hands were worth it. It was beautiful! He then made the mast and sails, sheets and lines. In the end, he could justly stand back and admire his handiwork with pride.
He then took it out for sea trials and noticed how well it sat in the water, and how it perfectly responded to each different puff of wind. It gave him hours of tremendous pleasure... until one day ... it seemed to get a mind of its own. This day had to come. He had trialed the boat and it had responded really well. Today the breeze was stronger and a sudden squall came and blew the ship off course and it sailed away beyond his reach, beyond his swimming capability and eventually disappeared.
How heart-broken he was. The hours he had spent making it, the devotion, the scars, the delight and the joy he had experienced with his yacht all came flooding back and he could not hold back the tears. His whole countenance changed from that day forward. The lightness in his step died and his head hung low on his chest.
His whole demeanour became sad until one day - he could hardly believe his eyes - for there in the toyshop window was his yacht. He went in and told the whole story to the owner of the shop and showed how he could prove it was his. But all the owner said was "If you want it, you'll have to pay my price for it, won't you?"
He had no money so he went out and found any job he possibly could to raise the necessary cash. Eventually, he wearily took the money to the shopkeeper and bought back his yacht. "You are twice mine, now" said the boy. "I made you and now I have bought you back - I will never let you go again!"
Have you got the message? God made you and as it says in Genesis 'God saw that it (you) was good.' You wandered away and satan took you in. He said to God - if you want this one back, you'll have to pay my price, won't you?
Jesus died on the cross, and shed His life-blood for you - the price was paid.
He bought you back. He purchased you back for God. Now He'll never let you go, because you are twice His!
