Don't speculate on the time - thrill to the fact.
God has spoken. Jesus has confirmed it. Behold, I am coming soon. Yes, I am coming soon. I AM has revealed it; I AM has confirmed it; I AM will do it. I AM is coming soon.
The promises of God are certain and sure and here is the promise of destiny. Yes, the promise of judgement, the promise of reward but also the promise of Presence. I AM coming soon.
He is not sending someone else. No other representative, not even an ambassador or an angel. THIS TIME HE IS COMING!
The fact that He says "Soon" means to me "the clock is ticking away". The decision has been made; the plans have been finalised; the time has already been set and is unalterable.
I remember particularly one journey I made around the world. I was away for seven weeks. The plan was made and each day brought departure closer and then I was off on my adventure. But I was in some ways a servant of time. When it was Friday, I must be in this city, Monday I must be in that one, and so it went on and on. The programme was set in motion. I was leaving but I would return - I was "on my way home" even as soon as the plane took off on my outward journey!
To me, in a similar way, JESUS IS ON HIS WAY!
Oh may this expectation not only grip your heart, mind and soul today, but every day.
Look up, my friend, look up. Maybe even today He will appear in the clouds.
As soon as we see Him, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is!
HE IS ON HIS WAY. HE IS COMING SOON! REJOICE!
