Revelation 21:2
I SAW THE HOLY CITY... AS A BRIDE
Zion - city of God. Chosen by God for His name and His dwelling.
"I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a Bride beautifully dressed for her Husband."
Who is the Bride of Christ? The Body of Christ - you and me. We have been chosen to bear His Name and become His Dwelling. The Holy Spirit dwells in us. We will have been prepared and given beautiful clothes, which are appropriate for the Bride's Husband.
Who is the Bride's Husband? None other than the Messiah Yeshua Himself. Jesus will present us to Father as His trophy but Father will present us back to His Son beautifully dressed for her Husband.
Father delights in His Son! His plan was in having such a wonderful Son, He would have many more like Him, and yet His Son was so beautiful, so unique that He had to create more and more humans reflecting something else of Jesus. Put us all together and we will make a suitable Bride.
Jesus has already come to earth and chosen His Bride. One day He is coming back to reclaim His Bride and take her with Him to heaven where He will present us to Father as a trophy of His suffering and triumph. Father will be so excited that He will "accept" us - and then beautify us so that with even greater delight and pleasure He will present us back to His Son as a Bride in all her glory.
What makes a bride radiant? Her hairdo? Her shower? Her clothes? Yes, to some degree they all contribute. But over and above all that, is one thing - her anticipation at being with and loving her husband forever.
Jesus will come for a Bride without spot or wrinkle; Father will present the Bride in beautiful Royal Wedding garments and the finest jewellery.
Doesn't that prospect make you feel radiant? To be with Jesus and to be able to really love Him as you long too?
Make yourself ready for the Bridegroom - let the expectation rise within you - the wait will not be long!
