HE WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR...
Yes, He will wipe away every tear from their eyes!
Many of us, though His followers have found the going tough. Many like Him, have been misunderstood; many have been rejected; many been maligned; many falsely accused; many suffered from broken hearts - some even again and again; many experience loneliness, helplessness, beatings, flaying, sword, lions, and martyrdom in virtually every conceivable way. Many are despised by their friends and/or denounced by their families.
Yes, there have been so many tears. Tears of frustration. Tears of despair. Tears of incredulity. Tears of emotional pain, spiritual pain, psychological pain and tears of physical pain. Tears of loss and bereavement. Tears of fear, panic and devastation.
Jesus knows them all. He has earnt the right to wipe them away.
Yes, He comes to you today and says "Let me wipe away your tears - I've been there - I know what you're going through and that is part of why I died. I can identify with you. Let me wipe away your tears."
But listen - there will be a day; there will be a moment, there will be that meeting - when Jesus comes - when every tear will be wiped away.
He will come in His majestic splendour. He will come in His radiant glory. He will come in His ultimate authority and power and He will wipe away every tear forever. Yes forever. Not just for the past, not just for the present, not just even for that moment - for when He comes to wipe away every tear it will be once and for all time!
No matter how big you thought the handkerchief would have to be it will be "big enough" for no longer will there be anything left which would cause a tear to be formed in your eye.
Believe it my friend, believe it. That time will surely come!
