Revelation 21:4
THERE WILL BE NO MORE DEATH...
Death is arrogant enough to believe that he has authority over all life. It comes from believing a lie.
Death likes to stalk us all. He parades himself in different guises. Not always does he choose suicide, abortion or murder - but often disguised in famine, disease and war. He masquerades under the cover of cancer, Aids, heart attacks and various other diseases, which he uses to strike fear into mankind, so that often people die of the fear rather than the disease. He also uses drugs and alcohol to achieve his ends.
He comes via malnutrition, malaria, leprosy, and dysentery and stands hovering over the hungry, the poor and destitute. He attacks after storms, earthquakes, volcanoes, and monsoons. He mops up after cyclones, floods and fires. He uses the sea and the air and is present at vehicle crashes.
He sees the people becoming numb as they read horror stories and watch occultist and thriller films. He attacks the mind causing bulimia and anorexia. He oversees the reports of war, which give him so much glory.
He thinks he is god but he is not all-powerful.
There is only One who is and His name is Jehovah, Jesus. The Triune God. He, alone, has the power and authority over death and death has been swallowed up in victory!
THERE WILL BE NO MORE DEATH!
Rejoice in that fact today. Don't let death rob you of your joy and freedom that is found in Christ Jesus.
He is the victor. He was dead but is alive forevermore.
You may never die. Jesus may come again first. Don't let death try and persuade you otherwise.
God is to be feared, not death.
God is eternal - one day there will be no more death. Hallelujah!
